Autonomous Driving / Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (AD/ADAS) are undergoing a transformation—from premium features reserved for luxury models to essential capabilities available to everyday drivers. Thanks to ongoing innovation in technology and cost optimization, high-level ADAS functions are no longer confined to top-tier vehicles. They are becoming a new standard—affordable, accessible, and practical for the mass market.
In response to this growing demand, Nullmax has partnered with automotive grade chip company, Black Sesame Technologies (BST) to introduce a production-ready AD/ADAS solution tailored for mainstream vehicles. Built on Nullmax’s full-stack, self-developed software platform and advanced vision-based perception algorithms, the solution leverages a single BST's Wudang® C1236 SoC to seamlessly integrate software and hardware. It supports key features including Memory Driving in urban settings, Highway Pilot, and Home Zone Parking, addressing real-world commuting needs and bringing intelligent driving assistance from high-end models to the daily lives of more consumers.
The key to making AD/ADAS truly accessible lies in the deep integration and efficient coordination between software and hardware. This solution achieves just that with a three-pronged technical foundation:
1. Flexible Adaptation: Elastic Deployment for Cost Efficiency
The hardware architecture adopts a 7VnR perception configuration, offering exceptional flexibility. Sensor types and quantities can be quickly adjusted to suit various vehicle models. Backed by Nullmax’s proprietary middleware, the system enables software and hardware decoupling, allowing for rapid adaptation with minimal modifications—greatly reducing development costs and shortening time to market.
Nullmax also provides a perception algorithm platform that supports seamless integration across chips with varying compute capabilities and architectures. This enables optimal performance utilization of each hardware unit, achieving an ideal balance between system capability and cost-effectiveness.
2. AI Algorithms: Full-Stack Performance for Efficient Perception
At the algorithm level, the solution integrates Nullmax’s full-stack AI perception system, powered by seven high-performance cameras to enable true 360-degree surround vision and long-range detection. The system utilizes a Bird’s Eye View (BEV) representation to significantly improve robustness and generalization across 3D understanding tasks—enhancing the vehicle's accuracy in detecting road users, obstacles, lane markings, and traffic signals.
Nullmax’s pure vision-based perception system is characterized by high frame rates, low latency, and minimal resource usage, ensuring maximum compute efficiency and enabling the creation of a stable, real-time, and high-performance perception layer on the C1236 platform.
3. High-Integration SoC: Compute-Consolidated Performance
The solution is powered by Black Sesame’s Wudang® C1236, this automotive-grade, cross-domain chip is manufactured using a 7nm process and complies with AEC-Q100 and ISO 26262 ASIL-D safety standards.
Designed with balanced compute and connectivity resources, the C1236 can efficiently support complex urban-use algorithms and ADAS functionalities on a mid-range compute platform. When combined with Nullmax’s high-performance full-stack AI algorithms, it enables the complete processing of all perception, decision-making, and control tasks within a single chip—potentially reducing overall system cost by up to 30%.
To ensure that intelligent driving systems are truly useful in everyday life, they must support high-frequency, real-world scenarios. This solution delivers just that.
Powered by the Wudang® C1236 SoC, Nullmax’s AD/ADAS system supports Memory Driving across both urban and highway environments. Users enjoy a smooth, intelligent driving experience from their doorstep to their destination.
Unlike traditional approaches that rely on high-definition maps, Nullmax’s Memory Driving system learns from the user's own driving behavior. By recording the vehicle’s trajectory and user inputs during the first drive, the system automatically generates a reusable route. On subsequent trips, the vehicle can reproduce the same route with high fidelity—ensuring consistent and personalized automatic driving.
This feature is designed for high practicality, covering a broad range of driving tasks: traffic light recognition, intersections (straight or turning), U-turns, obstacle avoidance, automatic speed control, guided or overtaking lane changes, and seamless on/off-ramp navigation. The system supports up to 10 memory routes, each with a maximum length of 100 kilometers.

This joint solution by Nullmax and Black Sesame Technologies represents more than a product launch—it is a milestone in the democratization of intelligent driving technology. By combining the performance and affordability of the Wudang® C1236 with Nullmax’s industry-proven algorithm and engineering strengths, this offering sets a new benchmark for mainstream AD/ADAS.
It embodies the philosophy of “AD/ADAS for All”—delivering scalable, cost-effective, and real-world ready intelligent driving capabilities. Together, the two companies will continue advancing their strategic partnership, driving innovation and accelerating the adoption of intelligent driving technologies across the mass market.
